krista & tony

when i found out that krista and tony were avid attendees of the edwardian ball every year, it sparked an idea in my brain for an engagement shoot. we set up a nice little, edwardian tinged picnic, complete with tiny books and superfluous peacock flowers. right now i'm experimenting with some olde tyme edits.

rachel & ariel got married

rachel and ariel had a vision of a fairytale feel for their wedding venue. tilden park in berkeley, california certainly fit the bill. rain threatened, but never showed and that allowed us this beautiful soft light for our formal photos.

aleks rides

so i finally finished this request for a few fine images for my friend aleks. she's gonna be featured on a lady rider blog way out in the wilds of australia. these represent my contribution to that site.

it occurs to me that i need to keep up on this page. i need to make an effort to be seen, to have my work seen. i feel a little stagnant, dear reader. here is a small taste of some work i'm shooting for someone else's blog! i know, get with it girl!

mayumi & elena got married

what a pleasure to shoot these ladies on their day of awesomeness. the day started out gray and overcast but that soon gave way to open blue skies and sunshine. squeezed between the bay and the oakland shipping yard is middle harbor shoreline park. it's an oasis of sorts. shore birds and families mingle among the wetlands here. a view of san francisco beyond is easy to see and the telescopic viewers are free! definitely a unique place for a unique family gathering.

it's true, whether you work at a startup or you are a financial analyst, your profile photo is often the first thing people see before they've ever met you in the flesh. it's important that potential clients see you in your best light, so to speak.

rachel is a lawyer, a fashion lawyer. her online profile was lacking the flair of her real life, so a new headshot was in order. rachel is a founding partner at Law on the Runway, a firm that specializes in copyright, branding, licensing, trademark, you name it!

a day with tim

my lovely, funny friend Tim was up from Los Angeles for a few days this week. he is one of the most entertaining people i've ever met and he makes taking portraits easy!
